Beads Out Level 168 Guide: The Red Curtain Trap
Beads Out Level 168 hits you with a massive obstruction right in the center of the board. A giant red curtain locked behind a four-clear timer blocks half your playable space. You cannot see what is behind it. You cannot access the boxes underneath it. You just have to survive the initial conveyor feed until that curtain drops. The dominant bead colors clogging the main loop early on are grey, light green, peach, and blue. Your bottom Dock is also choked out by two lower channels holding a Light Orange Box and a White Box, both trapped behind numbered blocks.
This board is brutal because the Conveyor pushes a chaotic mix of colors at the center spout, but you only have a few valid target boxes open. Make the wrong tap, and your upper slots fill with garbage. Game over. You must play the exact correct sequence to burn through the curtain timer before the main line jams.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 168
Look at the exact layout. The upper active area holds five immediate targets: Peach, Olive Green, Purple, Light Blue, and Dark Green Boxes. These are your lifelines. Below them, flanking the red curtain, sit Pink and Brown on the left, Bright Green and Dark Blue on the right.
The center is dead space. The red curtain features a large gold lock marked with a "4". You need four full box clears to rip that curtain down.
Check the outer Conveyor tracks. Both the far-left and far-right drop lanes are clogged at the top by black beads marked with question marks. These are Mystery Boxes in bead form. They hide their true color until they drop into the main line. Below the left mystery beads are bright green and peach clusters. Below the right mystery beads are bright green and gold clusters. The top of the inner loop holds a massive chain of grey beads, followed by white, purple, and brown. The right side curves down with thick bands of blue, red, and gold. The left side is jammed with light green and more peach.
The lower Dock placement dictates your midgame. A Light Orange Box sits on a "3" block. A White Box sits on a "2" block. You cannot route beads to them efficiently until the upper board opens up.
The real danger sits at the bottom. The Conveyor spout feeds light green, red, and light blue right at the start. If you tap red or light green too early, they have nowhere to go. They will just sit in your top holding slots and eat your buffer space. One bad tap on red means you lose a massive percentage of your safety net. Do it twice, and you choke the board completely.
Beads Out Level 168 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Precision is everything here. You have to route the exact right colors to beat the curtain timer before the inner loop jams. Follow this sequence to rip the board open.
Beating the Curtain Timer in Beads Out Level 168
Your sole focus at the beginning is finding four fast clears. You only have access to the perimeter boxes.
- Start with the light blue beads at the bottom of the Conveyor. Tap them immediately. They will route straight into the Light Blue Box sitting in the top row.
- Next, tap the peach beads feeding right behind the light blue ones. Send them directly into the Peach Box on the top left.
- Ignore the red and light green beads near the spout. This is pure bait. You do not have an accessible Red or Light Green Box yet. Touching them will instantly clog your upper active slots. Leave them alone.
- Watch the inner loop rotate. Wait for the purple beads on the top right to come around to the feed spout. Tap them into the Purple Box.
- Grab the dark green beads spinning down the right side. Send them into the Dark Green Box.
- That makes four complete clears. The timer hits zero. The giant red curtain drops. The board state completely flips.
Exposing the Olive Column in Beads Out Level 168
The curtain vanishes. Suddenly, you see the real puzzle. The center reveals a punishing vertical column of three Olive Green Boxes stacked right on top of each other. Next to them sit Red, Purple, and Dark Blue Boxes.
You also get hit with a totally different mechanic. The top Dock slots now convert to Half Boxes marked with a "50%" label. These include Peach, Pink, Dark Green, and Light Blue. They only require half a standard bead chain to fill. A tiny strand is enough to completely remove one from the board. Prioritize these. Knocking out a Half Box instantly frees up a slot.
- Clear the red beads that have been clogging the inner loop. Send them into the newly revealed Red Box in the center right.
- Attack the Olive Green column. The inner Conveyor is packed with olive beads on the right and bottom left. Tap them to clear the top Olive Green Box, then immediately fill the next one underneath it. You must dig through this center column fast to open up the middle of the screen.
- Feed the 50% Half Boxes. Grab the small clusters of pink, dark green, and light blue rotating through the main loop. Short chains will clear them instantly.
- Avoid pulling from the outer tracks just yet. Let the inner loop thin out entirely. The bottom feed is much safer now that the center is wide open.
Clearing the Mystery Tracks in Beads Out Level 168
Now you handle the outer edges. The left and right lanes still hold those black mystery beads blocking the rest of the drop paths.
- Tap the bright green beads on the left outer track. Route them into the Bright Green Box located on the right side of the board.
- Tap the bright green beads on the right outer track. This empties the lane and pulls the black mystery beads down into the main loop.
- Once the mystery beads hit the inner Conveyor, they will reveal their true color. Immediately match them to any remaining open Boxes on the board.
- Clear the lower Dock. The White Box on the "2" block and the Light Orange Box on the "3" block are fully accessible now. Feed the white beads from the top of the inner loop straight down into the White Box.
- Finish off the gold, brown, and grey beads rotating around the thinned-out main track. Keep your taps methodical. The game speeds up when only four Boxes remain. Do not panic tap. Send the final clusters home and complete the level.
