Beads Out Level 98 Guide: The Hourglass Loop & Sealed Cube Trap

Beads Out Level 98 hits hard. You open the level and immediately see the Conveyor shaped like a massive hourglass. It looks simple. It is not. Dominant colors clog the tracks. We are looking at massive chains of Green, Brown, and Light Blue beads. They choke the loops. The bottom Box placement forces your hand from the very first second.

Look at the Dock. It is a tight 4x4 grid of Boxes, but the far-right column is your real enemy. That column holds a Sealed Cube wrapped in ice with a 350-bead requirement. It sits dead on top of a Crate Lock marked with a 4. This is the blocker. Most easy levels let you clear any active Box to open space. Beads Out Level 98 refuses to play nice. You have to dig out that right side before the loop jams. The starting active slots hold two Brown Boxes, one Blue Box, and one Red Box. You have to work with this exact setup while the bottom exit is completely plugged by Light Pink beads.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 98

Read the board before you tap anything. The Conveyor loop holds thick walls of Green beads on the lower left curve. Pinkish-purple beads stack directly above them, followed by a long chain of Brown. The right track is entirely different. You have Light Blue beads sitting at the lower curve, with Pink and Yellow stacked higher up. Down at the bottom exit pipe, Light Pink beads sit right at the door. Orange beads are directly behind them.

The trap here is obvious once you fail it. You see those two Brown Boxes in the active slots? They look like safe early clears. They are actually a double-edged sword. If you focus entirely on the left side of the Conveyor to dump Brown beads, the right side stops moving entirely. The lower Dock holds the real puzzle. You have Pink, Olive Green, White, and Blue Boxes sitting in the second row. Underneath them are Orange, Yellow, and Green.

The lower Dock placement dictates your survival. You cannot access the bottom Magenta, Purple, and Dark Purple Boxes until you chew through the top layers. That Sealed Cube in column four blocks the entire right-side flow of the Dock. Once you clear an active Box, you have to pull from the correct column. Pulling a random Box changes the route. It leaves you with useless beads clogging the exit. The Red Box in the active row is pure bait. There are zero Red beads queued up at the bottom of the Conveyor. Touching it does nothing for your early game.

Time to beat it. Follow this exact sequence to keep the Conveyor moving and break the Dock open.

Busting the Active Row in Beads Out Level 98

The opening dictates the entire run. You have to clear the starting active slots to access the trapped Boxes below.

1. Clear the Brown Boxes immediately. You have two Brown Boxes occupying half your active space. Tap the massive Brown bead chain on the upper left side of the Conveyor. Fill both Boxes fast.
2. Fill the Blue Box. Tap the Light Blue beads on the right track. Route them into the Blue Box to open your third active slot. This gets the right side of the hourglass moving.
3. Ignore the Red Box. It is absolute bait. You do not have an immediate massive chain of Red beads ready. Let it sit in the active row. Work around it.
4. Pull up the Pink Box. With three active slots open, pull the Light Pink Box from the first column of the Dock. Route that entire bottom cluster of Light Pink beads blocking the exit into this Box.
5. Avoid the Sealed Cube. You cannot interact with a 350-bead Sealed Cube yet. Leave it parked in column four. We need to chip away at the left and middle columns first to expose the Crate Lock at the bottom right.

Surviving the Midgame Jam in Beads Out Level 98

The board opens up after that first Light Pink clear. The transition is violent. The beads flow faster, and the wrong pull ends the game.

6. Prioritize the Orange Box. The bottom exit is now choked with Orange beads. Pull the Orange Box up from the first column of the lower Dock. Route the Orange beads into it immediately.
7. Pull the Yellow Box. You have a solid chunk of Yellow beads on the right loop. Pull the Yellow Box from column two. Clear those beads to prevent a jam on the right side.
8. Watch the left lane. The left side of the Conveyor is a massive threat right now. You have huge chunks of Green and Purple beads waiting to hit the exit. Pull the Olive Green and Purple Boxes from the lower Dock.
9. Manage the jam risk. The jam risk instantly shifts to the top inner loop. If you do not clear those inner Green and Light Blue beads, the hourglass pinches shut at the neck. Order matters. Clear the Green beads into a newly pulled Green Box before touching the top Light Blue beads.
10. Expose the Crate Lock. You finally cleared enough layers to deal with column four. The bottom Dock arrangement shifts. Attack the Sealed Cube with the matching beads flooding the top loop. Once that ice shatters, the Crate Lock activates. It requires four adjacent clears. Route your remaining Blue, White, and Yellow beads into matching Boxes pulled right next to that lock.

Pushing the Last Four in Beads Out Level 98

The ending is brutal. When only four Boxes remain in the Dock, Beads Out Level 98 triggers the Last Four speed-up.

11. Prep for the speed-up. The Conveyor accelerates to top speed. You will only have Magenta, Dark Purple, and a straggler White Box left in the bottom rows.
12. Clear the Dark Purple. Pull the Dark Purple Box. Tap the remaining left-lane purple beads. Do not hesitate. The faster loop means mis-taps are an instant fail.
13. Dump the remaining beads. Route the final stragglers into your last open Boxes. Keep your taps tight. The board clears.
