Beads Out Level 499 Guide: The Dual Crate Lock and Half Box Trap
Beads Out Level 499 is a brutal execution test. The board tries to suffocate you immediately with a cramped belt, but the real killer is a hidden trap in the midgame. You start with a messy spread of red, dark blue, yellow, green, light blue, brown, pink, and white beads crowding a tight loop.
Look at the bottom of the screen. The box layout is split into two heavily guarded zones. On the right, a vertical stack of hazard-striped boxes is trapped by an orange '4' Crate Lock. On the bottom left, a white '5' Crate Lock pins down another cluster. You have exactly four slots in your lower Dock. If you mismanage your clearances, you will trigger a massive Half Box jam that completely bricks your run.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 499
This specific board demands heavy visual tracking. The Conveyor is shaped like a twisted figure-eight. It has two top-feeding chutes. The left chute pushes a long snake of yellow beads. The right chute pushes bright green beads. Trailing ominously behind both of these feeds are black Mystery Box beads. You cannot let those unknown beads enter the main loop until the board is wide open.
The starting Boxes are a deceptive mess. The top row gives you Blue, Olive Green, and Purple. The middle cluster holds Brown, Tan, Bright Green, Red, Pink, and Dark Red.
The hazard zones are where the puzzle actually lives. The right side features a vertical column containing a Pink, Dark Red, Light Blue, and Dark Blue Box. You cannot drop any of these because they sit squarely on top of that orange '4' Crate Lock. This means any dark blue or light blue beads on the Conveyor are dead weight right now.
The left hazard zone has a Blue and Bright Green Box sitting next to the white '5' Crate Lock.
The biggest threat on this board does not appear until you break the first lock. Your four-slot Dock is perfectly sized to hold exactly four boxes. Later in the level, you will be hit with an ambush of 50% Half Boxes. If you drag four of them down into the Dock at the same time and do not have the right beads on the belt to finish them, the level is over. You are paralyzed.
Beads Out Level 499 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Control the top feeds. Manage the locks. Keep the Dock clear. Follow this exact sequence to survive the bottleneck.
Breaking the First Crate Lock in Beads Out Level 499
Your immediate goal is to fill four boxes to destroy the orange '4' Crate Lock on the right side. You have zero room for error on the belt.
- Clear the Red. Red beads sit right at the bottom exit of the Conveyor loop. Tap them immediately into the open Red Box in the middle cluster.
- Ignore the Dark Blue. Right behind the red beads is a dark blue chain. Do not touch them. The Dark Blue Box is trapped under the hazard stripes on the right. Let the dark blue cycle around the loop.
- Snipe the Brown and Pink. As the loop turns, match the brown beads into the open Brown Box on the left side of the middle cluster. Grab the pink beads and feed them into the open Pink Box. That is two boxes down.
- Flush the Green Feed. You have a Bright Green Box sitting wide open in the center. The right top chute is entirely bright green beads. Tap them down to fill the box.
- Finish the Fourth Box. You need one more to break the lock. Use the yellow feed from the left chute or any remaining open colors in the top row. Once the fourth box fills, the orange '4' Crate Lock shatters. The hazard-striped stack on the right finally drops.
Surviving the Half Box Dock Jam in Beads Out Level 499
Breaking that lock triggers a massive board shift. The right side opens up, but the game hits back. You will start pulling down boxes that turn out to be 50% Half Boxes.
- Watch the Percentages. You will likely pull down a Purple, Dark Red, Light Blue, or Orange Box. They will display "50%" on the side.
- Do Not Fill the Dock. If you pull four Half Boxes down at once, you will jam. Only pull down a Half Box if you can immediately see the matching beads on the Conveyor.
- Clear the Light Blue and Purple. The main loop is now holding purple, light blue, and white beads. Prioritize filling the Purple and Light Blue Half Boxes. Tap the beads in short bursts to finish them off and get them out of the Dock.
- Feed the Orange. A new wave of orange beads will drop from the left chute. Route them directly into the Orange Half Box.
- Break the Left Lock. Every Half Box you complete counts toward breaking the white '5' Crate Lock on the bottom left. Focus entirely on pushing beads into those 50% containers until the white lock breaks and frees the left hazard zone.
Clearing the Mystery Boxes in Beads Out Level 499
With both locks destroyed and the Half Box trap cleared, the board enters its final phase.
- Empty the Dock. Do not start the next step until your bottom Dock has at least two empty slots.
- Tap the Unknowns. The black Mystery Box beads from the top chutes are now in the main loop. Tap exactly one chain of black beads.
- Sort the Reveal. Once the beads hit the Dock, their true color reveals. Match them immediately to the late-game boxes on the board. You will likely see Dark Green, Tan, or leftover Blue.
- Clean Up. Keep pulling single unknown chains, revealing the color, and matching. Never pull multiple mystery chains at once. Keep the Conveyor moving, dump the revealed beads into the remaining hazard boxes, and clear the board.
