Beads Out Level 490 Guide: The Key Drop and Crate Lock Defense

This board is a trap if you just tap colors as they appear. Beads Out Level 490 sets up a massive roadblock on the bottom left and forces you to dig for survival. You start with a single Red Box sitting in your Dock at 0%. Above it, the board is split by a thick blue central divider, completely separating the left and right lower sections.

The left side holds the critical path. Buried at the very bottom left corner is a Dark Green Box carrying a glowing Key. You need that Key. Badly. Sitting dead center at the bottom is a Beige Box trapped in a Crate Lock. The entire bottom half of the board refuses to budge until you crack that lock. Compounding the misery is an orange slide-stick blocking the middle-left path. If you pull from the right side too early, the massive string of Light Blue beads on the Conveyor will jam your Dock and end the run.

You have to play this aggressively left-side heavy. Ignore the top row. Hunt the Key.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 490

Look at the Conveyor. It runs in a figure-8 loop with a wide bottom basin. The right side is loaded with a dangerous amount of Light Blue beads. The left side is a mixed bag of Purple, Grey, Yellow, Green, and Pink. Up at the very top of the loop, creeping down both sides, are black beads marked with white question marks. These are Mystery Boxes. They will transform later. Forget them for now.

Your eyes need to be on the Boxes stacked in the center area. The top row is pure bait. You see a Beige, Olive Green, Pink, and Bright Green Box. Do not touch them. The Conveyor does not have enough of these colors at the front of the line to clear them. Pulling them will instantly choke your Dock capacity.

The second row is your actual starting line. You have a Purple Multicolor Crate on the far left, a standard Red Box, a Brown Multicolor Crate, a Bright Green Box, and a Blue Box.

Below that row is the physical orange stick barrier blocking the left. Underneath the stick sits a Grey Box and a Dark Blue Box. Underneath those is your ultimate target: the Dark Green Key Box.

To the right of the central blue divider, the board is heavily layered with more Multicolor Crates (Light Blue and Yellow) and standard Boxes (Orange, Purple, Dark Blue, Grey). The bottom center Beige Box holds the Crate Lock.

The strategy for Beads Out 490 is strict. Clear the starting Red. Excavate the entire left column. Secure the Key. Only then do you pivot right.

Beads Out Level 490 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Follow this exact order. Your Dock only holds four slots. A single wrong pull on this board causes a fatal logjam.

Breaking the Left Side Blockers in Beads Out Level 490

Your opening moves must be surgical. You have to remove the physical blockers standing between you and the Key.

  1. Fill the Red Box currently sitting in your Dock. The front of the right-side Conveyor has a short string of Red beads. Tap them immediately to get this box off the board and open your slots.
  2. Pull the Purple Multicolor Crate (Row 2, far left) into the Dock. The bottom left of the Conveyor is packed with Purple beads. Tap them all to clear this crate instantly.
  3. Drop the Red Box (Row 2, second from left) into the Dock. You must pull this to dig deeper. If more Red beads are available, fill it. If not, let it sit in the Dock. You have the space right now.
  4. Pull the Dark Blue Box sitting just below the orange stick line. Look at the middle crossover section of the Conveyor. A large cluster of Dark Blue beads is moving through. Tap them to clear this box.
  5. Pull the Grey Box sitting next to the Dark Blue one. The left Conveyor track has a solid string of Grey beads moving down. Send them in.

Securing the Key and Clearing the Crate Lock in Beads Out Level 490

You just exposed the bottom left corner. The orange stick barrier is bypassed. It is time to trigger the main mechanic of Beads Out 490.

  1. Drop the Dark Green Box (bottom left) into the Dock. This is the Key box.
  2. Tap the Green beads moving down the left side and through the middle crossover. Fill the Dark Green Box to 100%.
  3. Watch the Key fly out and smash the Crate Lock on the bottom-center Beige Box. The board is now officially open.
  4. Immediately pull the Light Blue Box (Row 2, far right). The right side of the Conveyor is completely clogged with Light Blue beads. You must bleed off this pressure before the loop jams. Tap rapidly to clear the Light Blue string.
  5. Drop the Bright Green Box (Row 2) and fill it using the remaining Green beads on the loop.

Managing the Mystery Boxes in Beads Out Level 490

The board is now drastically smaller. The left side is empty. The center lock is gone. Now you face the top Conveyor mechanics.

  1. Pull the unlocked Beige Box from the bottom center. The top row has a Beige Box too, but clear the bottom one first to open space for the right-side Multicolor Crates.
  2. Pull the Brown Multicolor Crate and Yellow Multicolor Crate. Match their respective beads as they round the center crossover.
  3. Watch the top black beads. They carry the Mystery Box question marks. Keep at least one Dock slot completely empty. When these beads reach the bottom exit, the game will reveal their true color.
  4. Pull the top row bait boxes (Pink, Olive Green) only when their specific colors appear from behind the black mystery strings.
  5. Use your remaining Dock slots to catch the Orange and Purple Boxes on the lower right.
  6. Clear the remaining stray beads into the final Grey and Dark Blue Boxes at the bottom right corner to finish the level. Stay patient on the last four boxes. The speed will increase, but your Conveyor is mostly empty now. Tap carefully and win.
