Beads Out Level 489 Guide: The Numbered Gate Blockade

Beads Out Level 489 is a “Very Hard” board designed to starve your lower slots. The dominant bead colors looping around the center are red, dark blue, green, and a massive stretch of olive. The immediate problem sits dead center in the container pile. A Crate Lock stamped with a number "4" completely seals off the right side of the board. Everything behind this gate sits on yellow and black hazard tiles. You cannot touch them.

You have to work the left side. The game forces you to deal with open Boxes mixed with zipped brown bags. If you pull the wrong container into your four-slot Dock, the massive central Conveyor will jam. The outer feed lanes make this worse. They drop black beads marked with question marks. These mystery feeds hide incoming colors. You are flying blind on the edges while dealing with a locked hazard zone in the middle. This board punishes impatient tapping. You need a strict order of operations.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 489

Look directly at the starting layout. Your Dock has four slots. The game starts you off with one blue Box already occupying the first slot. You only have three empty slots to work with.

The central Conveyor is a massive, thick loop. Read the colors clockwise starting from the bottom exit. A huge block of red sits at the 5 o’clock position. Behind it is a short pink strip. Then dark blue, white, grey, and orange at the very top. Moving down the left side, you see light blue, bright green, olive, and dark green. This exact color sequence dictates your entire opening strategy.

Now look at the outer vertical lanes. Both the left and right feeds contain mystery beads stamped with a ? mark. Behind the left mystery feed, you can see red and beige beads waiting. Behind the right mystery feed, more red and dark green beads are queued up. Do not ignore these outer lanes. When they push beads into the main intersection, they will disrupt the clean color blocks in your central loop.

The container pile is split into two distinct zones.

The left zone is your only playable area. At the top, you have an orange Box and a silver-grey Box. Below them sits an olive Box with a white outline and a purple Box. Mixed in between these are closed brown bags. One bag holds a dark green Box. Another holds a pink Box. You cannot play the bags until they open.

The right zone is the trap. The Crate Lock gate marked "4" sits on top of a solid blue block. Behind this gate, a full column of Boxes rests on hazard stripes. You can see a purple, an olive, a brown, and a red Half Box trapped back there. You must clear four accessible Boxes on the left to drop the gate to zero. If you fill your Dock with containers that do not match the immediate top-center of the Conveyor, you will fail Beads Out Level 489 in the first thirty seconds.

Beads Out Level 489 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You must clear the top left to break the gate on the right. Follow this exact pull order to survive the opening jam.

Cracking the Left Side in Beads Out Level 489

Your immediate goal is to drop the Crate Lock counter from 4 down to 3. You need to clear one of the top accessible containers.

  1. Leave the blue Box sitting in the Dock. The dark blue beads are on the right side of the Conveyor loop. Let them travel.
  2. Pull the orange Box down into your second Dock slot.
  3. Pull the silver-grey Box into your third slot.
  4. Look at the top of the Conveyor. The grey beads are pushing right behind the white beads, followed immediately by the orange beads.
  5. Tap the grey beads as they hit the bottom exit. Fill the grey Box and get it out of the Dock.
  6. Tap the orange beads next. Fill the orange Box to clear it.
  7. You just cleared two containers. The Crate Lock drops from 4 to 2.

Do not pull the bright green or white containers from the bottom left yet. The green and white beads are too far away on the Conveyor. Pulling them early is bait. It will paralyze your Dock.

Breaching the Gate in Beads Out Level 489

With the top cleared, the closed brown bags start to open. The dark green Box is now exposed. The massive red block on the right side of the Conveyor is moving toward the bottom exit. You need to handle the red feed before it clogs the intersection.

  1. Pull the newly revealed dark green Box down.
  2. Pull a red Box from the lower left pile into your Dock.
  3. Flush the massive red bead chunk from the 5 o'clock position on the Conveyor straight into the red container.
  4. The dark blue beads are finally at the bottom. Tap them to fill the blue Box that has been sitting in your Dock since the level started.
  5. Tap the dark green beads coming down the left side to fill the dark green container.
  6. Clearing these drops the Crate Lock to zero. The gate shatters.

The board state completely changes now. The hazard zone on the right is open. The outer vertical lanes are pushing their mystery beads into the main loop. You will start seeing random black beads dropping onto the belt.

Clearing the Hazard Zone in Beads Out Level 489

The right side is finally unlocked. You have to clean out the hazard tiles before the mystery feeds overwhelm the board.

  1. Pull the purple Box off the top of the right-side hazard stack.
  2. Pull the olive Box down next. The olive bead section on the left side of the Conveyor is massive. Drain it entirely into the olive container.
  3. Watch the mystery feeds. If they drop beige or brown beads, immediately pull the corresponding brown Box from the hazard zone or the beige Box from the bottom row. Match the garbage feeds as fast as they appear.
  4. Grab the red Half Box from the bottom right. Fill it with the secondary red beads dropping from the outer left feed lane.
  5. Clear the remaining pink and white containers from the lower left pile.

When you get down to the final four containers, the Last Four speed-up kicks in. The Conveyor accelerates. Do not panic tap. Wait for the exact color blocks to align with the exit. Match the remaining beige and green containers to finish the board. Keep your Dock clear of unfillable colors and the hazard zone will empty smoothly.
