Beads Out Level 288 Guide: The Giant Red Curtain and Buried Keys

Beads Out Level 288 is a trap. The board actively works against you from the first second. The right side is completely dead. A massive red curtain covers a massive 2x2 grid space. It demands ten clears before it budges. You cannot touch anything under it. You cannot bypass it. You have to play the left and center columns exclusively to survive the early game.

The dominant bead colors choking the Conveyor exit right now are bright green, purple, and orange. You have a serious problem. You do not have an open box for any of those colors at the start. The top row of the board features a Dark Blue Box, a Light Green Crate Lock, a Pink Half Box, a Purple Crate Lock, and a Silver Half Box.

The keys for those two Crate Locks are buried at the absolute bottom of the grid. The gold key sits on a Light Blue Box in the bottom left-center. The silver key rests on a Light Green Box right next to it. You have to dig straight down through multiple blockages to reach them. If you pull down the wrong box, your four-slot Dock will jam. The game will end. You must control the bead flow perfectly.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 288

Look at the hourglass shape of the Conveyor. The exit sits dead center. Bright green beads lead the pack. Purple and dark green beads sit right behind them. Orange and red form the next cluster. You have to ignore almost all of them. The bright green beads are pure bait. Touching them will clog your Dock.

Your initial playable targets are highly restricted. The top row gives you Dark Blue, Pink, and Silver. Everything else is locked or buried.

Below that top row is a nightmare of specialty blocks. The center column is blocked by a stack of blue Sealed Cubes with heavy hit counters (750, 300, 550, 400). The far-left column features stacked orange boxes with a 10-count requirement. You must clear adjacent boxes to chip away at these numbers.

The right side of the board is dominated by the red curtain. Every time you successfully clear a full Box off the Dock, the curtain's counter drops by one. You need ten clears. Only then will the curtain lift to reveal the hidden grey stone blocks and whatever else is hiding in the bottom right corner.

Your biggest threat in Beads Out Level 288 is Conveyor gridlock. You have a large section of dark blue and silver beads on the left loop. You have yellow, brown, and white beads on the right loop. You must cycle the useless green and purple beads around the track without accidentally tapping them into your Dock. The lower Dock only holds four Boxes. You must pull down a Box, fill it completely, and clear it immediately. Half-filled boxes will kill your run.

Beads Out Level 288 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You have to be ruthless with your Box selection. Do not pull down a box unless you see a massive chain of its matching color approaching the Conveyor exit.

1. Pull down the Dark Blue Box from the top left.
2. Wait for the dark blue beads on the left side of the Conveyor to cycle down to the exit. Tap them in. Clear the box instantly. This drops the red curtain counter to 9.
3. Pull down the Pink Half Box from the top row. This exposes another Pink Half Box directly beneath it. Pull that down too. They will merge on the Dock.
4. Feed the pink beads from the right side of the track into the Dock. Clear the merged pink box. The curtain counter drops to 8.
5. You now have access to a Brown Half Box and a Dark Green Half Box in the second row. Look at the Conveyor. Dark green beads are right behind the purple ones at the exit.
6. Pull down the Dark Green Half Box. Let the useless bright green and purple beads loop past the exit. Tap the dark green beads into the Dock.
7. Pull down the Silver Half Box from the top right. Wait for the silver beads to loop around. Feed them. Clear the box. The curtain counter drops again.

Avoiding the Green Bait in Beads Out Level 288

The opening taps dictate the rest of the match. You must ignore the bright green beads entirely at the start. You have a Light Green Crate Lock in the top row, but you cannot open it yet. Pulling down any green-adjacent box early is a fatal mistake.

The pink boxes are your primary workhorse for the opening. Because they sit stacked on top of each other, pulling the first one immediately gives you the second. Merging them clears board space fast. Every clear chips away at the adjacent blue Sealed Cubes in the center column. You want those numbers dropping passively while you sort standard colors.

Breaking the Center Column in Beads Out Level 288

Once you clear the Dark Blue, Pink, and Silver boxes, the board finally opens up. You now have access to the middle rows.

The red curtain should be down to 6 or 7. You need to focus heavily on the center column of blue Sealed Cubes. Pull down the Red Half Box and the Purple Half Box from the third row.

Look at the Conveyor. You have a massive string of purple beads cycling through. Tap them into the Purple Box. Clear it. This damages the blue Sealed Cube next to it.

You finally reach the bottom row. This is the turning point. The gold key sits on the Light Blue Box. The silver key sits on the Light Green Box.

Pull down the Light Blue Box. The Conveyor has a large chunk of light blue beads on the top loop. Wait for them. Feed them into the Dock. The moment the box clears, the gold key flies up and opens the top-left Crate Lock.

Immediately pull down the Light Green Box with the silver key. Feed it the bright green beads that have been haunting the Conveyor since the level started. This clears the silver key. The top-right Purple Crate Lock breaks.

By this point, you have hit your tenth clear. The red curtain vanishes. The right side of the board is finally exposed. You will find remaining Half Boxes and hidden stone blocks.
