Beads Out Level 285 Guide: The Ice Wall and Curtain Blockers

This board is a massive traffic jam waiting to happen. Beads Out Level 285 starves you of space instantly. You start with exactly four empty slots on the top Dock. Fill those with the wrong colors, and your run is dead.

The dominant bead colors crowding the belt early are Light Green, Dark Green, Peach, White, Red, and Dark Blue. Look straight at the bottom of the board. Two giant red curtains, tagged with gold "15" medals, block the entire lower half. Between them sit two zippered bags—one brown, one pink. On the far right, a completely isolated alcove traps a White and a Brown Box. You cannot reach them. The entire right side is shielded by a solid vertical wall of blue ice blocks stamped with "1000" and "500".

This is not a fast-paced sorting level. This is a demolition job. You have to break the center open before the Conveyor chokes.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 285

Look at the playable area. The top row gives you a Silver Box, Yellow Box, Beige Box, and Peach Box. Right next to the Peach Box sits the top of the ice wall.

The second row drops down into a Light Green Box, Dark Green Box, a stone Mystery Box, and an Orange Crate Lock requiring 5 hits. The third row holds three more stone Mystery Boxes. One of them has a horseshoe magnet sticking straight up. Next to it sits another Orange Crate Lock with a 5.

The Conveyor feeds down into a central chute. The right side pushes Light Green, Dark Green, and Peach beads first. The left side pushes White, Red, and Dark Blue beads.

The trap is the left side. You have no White, Red, or Dark Blue Boxes available in the starting grid. Tapping those left-side beads will flood your Dock. If you pull White and Red beads into the Dock now, you lose. You must play the right side of the Conveyor first.

The gold "15" on the curtains means you need to clear beads to drop the count. Every successful clear drops that number. The route changes entirely once the curtains open.

Beads Out Level 285 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Follow strict Box order here. The dependency chain requires clearing the left and center before you even look at the ice on the right.

Cracking the Opening Layer in Beads Out Level 285

Your opening taps must clear out the immediate blockers to expose the Mystery Boxes. Ignore the left side of the Conveyor entirely. Let the White, Red, and Blue beads ride the loop.

1. Tap the Peach beads on the right side of the Conveyor. Send them straight into the Peach Box in the top right.
2. Tap the Light Green beads next. Fill the Light Green Box in the second row.
3. Send the Yellow and Beige Boxes up to the Dock. You need them out of the way to expose the lower rows.
4. Hit the Orange Crate Locks. You need 5 orange beads per crate to smash them. Wait for the orange beads to loop around the Conveyor and tap them in. Breaking these crates is mandatory. They block the right side of the center grid.
5. Watch the magnet. Once the Crate Locks break, the magnet on the Mystery Box activates. It will rip specific colors right off the belt. Let it do its job. It clears space on the belt for free.

Dropping the Curtains in Beads Out Level 285

Once you break the early crates and clear the Light Green and Peach boxes, the board transitions. The red curtains start counting down fast.

6. Keep feeding the Dark Green and Silver Boxes. Every filled box strips numbers off the red curtains. You will see them drop from 15 down to 5.
7. Finish off the last 5 clears. The curtains will vanish.
8. The board completely opens up. Purple, Light Blue, and more Yellow Boxes appear from behind the curtains.
9. Look at the Dock. Percentage Boxes pop up mid-game. You will see a Red 0%, Yellow 50%, Light Blue 50%, and Pink 50% Box. These require massive amounts of beads to fill.
10. The zippered bags in the center bottom now activate. The brown and pink bags open once you clear the Boxes directly touching them. Route your newly available Purple beads into the Purple Boxes at the bottom to trigger the pink bag.

Melting the Right-Side Ice in Beads Out Level 285

The right side of the board is still a nightmare. The ice blocks (1000 and 500) will not break until you cause adjacent clears.

11. Focus heavy fire on the center-right column. Fill the Percentage Boxes that drop down next to the ice wall. The Yellow 50% and Light Blue 50% Boxes are your best tools here.
12. Pull the massive strings of Pink and Dark Green beads currently wrapping around the Conveyor. Feed them into the mid-game Boxes.
13. Once the 1000 and 500 ice blocks shatter, the far right alcove opens.
14. Target the isolated White and Brown Boxes in the alcove. Now is the time to tap the White beads that have been clogging the left side of the Conveyor since the start of the level.
15. Clear the remaining Percentage Boxes to trigger the final Last Four speed-up and finish the board. Keep your taps precise. The belt moves fast at the end.
