Beads Out Level 170 Guide: The Cat-Head Conveyor and Curtain Lock
You have a massive problem right out of the gate. Beads Out Level 170 drops you into a board where half your required sorting space is completely inaccessible. The Conveyor is shaped like a giant cat head, feeding beads from two top "ears" down into a bottom loop. But the real issue is the bottom half of the screen.
You start with a single Red Box sitting in your four-slot Dock. Directly above it, the main playing field is heavily restricted. The lower right corner is blocked by a giant red Curtain Lock demanding five clears before it opens. Surrounding the center and lower left are Sealed Cubes demanding a 500-coin cost to smash. Because of this layout, the Yellow and Magenta beads flowing around the bottom of the cat-head Conveyor have nowhere to go. You must operate at maximum efficiency with the few open Boxes you have on the top and left sides. If you try to play this like a standard sorting level, the Conveyor will jam with Yellow beads within seconds.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 170
To beat this board, you have to read the exact distribution of the available targets. The Conveyor is aggressive. The top-left ear feeds Brown, Magenta, Olive Green, and Light Green beads. The top-right ear pushes Cyan, Light Green, Orange, and Dark Blue. They all meet at the bottom loop.
Look at your open Boxes. On the top left, you have Light Green and Dark Green. On the top right, two Cyan Boxes sit completely exposed. The middle row offers Brown, White, Grey, and Purple. Everything below this is a hazard.
The lower left contains an Orange Box, a Light Green Box, and two grey Mystery Boxes at the very bottom. The middle and right sides are choked by four distinct 500-cost Sealed Cubes. The bottom right is entirely consumed by the Curtain Lock showing a gold seal with a "5".
The trap here is obvious. The bottom arc of the cat-head Conveyor gets crowded first with Yellow, Orange, and Magenta beads. You have no Yellow or Magenta Boxes available. They are hidden under the 500-cost Sealed Cubes and behind the Curtain Lock. If you ignore the top open Boxes and try to force the bottom beads, you will fail. The early clear changes the entire route. You must smash five accessible Boxes fast to drop that curtain, which exposes the hidden Yellow and Dark Blue Boxes you desperately need to prevent a jam.
Beads Out Level 170 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Speed and order are everything. You cannot let the cat-head loop fill up. Execute these steps to maintain your buffer economy and open the right side of the board.
Breaking the Top Layer in Beads Out Level 170
Your opening taps must be ruthless. You have to clear five Boxes quickly to drop the Curtain Lock. Do not look at the bottom of the board yet.
You must focus entirely on the exposed top and middle rows. Ignore the Yellow and Magenta beads forming a roadblock at the bottom of the Conveyor. They are bait. You literally cannot clear them right now.
- Target the two Cyan Boxes on the top right immediately. Send every Cyan bead from the right ear of the Conveyor straight into them.
- Clear the Light Green Box on the top left. This clears out the massive cluster of Light Green beads moving through the left ear.
- Tap the Brown beads on the left side to fill the Brown Box sitting in the middle-left area.
- Send Grey and White beads into the center Grey and White Boxes.
- Leave the Red Box in the Dock alone at the start. Red beads are buried behind other colors on the top loop. Forcing them now wastes time. Rely on the Cyan, Light Green, Brown, and Grey clears to count down the curtain.
Surviving the Ice Block Transition in Beads Out Level 170
Once you clear your fifth Box, the Curtain Lock drops. The board state instantly shifts. You will see the counter hit "1" and then vanish, revealing a new cluster of targets on the bottom right.
Now the Yellow and Dark Blue Boxes become playable. But you still have those 500-cost Sealed Cubes in the way. The right lane becomes your primary focus because the Conveyor is currently screaming for relief from the Yellow bead pileup.
- Pay the 500-coin toll to smash the Sealed Cubes blocking the Purple and Yellow Boxes on the middle-right. Do this exactly when the Yellow beads threaten to lock the bottom exit of the Conveyor.
- Spam the Yellow beads into their newly revealed Boxes on the right side. This completely opens up the flow of the bottom loop.
- With the Yellow jam gone, send the Magenta beads into the Purple Boxes.
- Pull the Red Box forward and finally route the Red beads from the top of the cat-head down into the Dock.
- Move empty White and Grey Boxes into the Dock if you need extra room to sort the remaining top-loop beads.
The Mystery Box Finish in Beads Out Level 170
The final phase isolates the bottom left corner. You have an Orange Box, a Light Green Box, and two grey Mystery Boxes.
- Route the remaining Orange beads from the right ear of the Conveyor into the bottom-left Orange Box.
- Clear the Light Green Box directly above the bottom row.
- Hit the two Mystery Boxes. They will reveal their colors instantly.
- Keep your Dock totally empty right before you hit the Mystery Boxes. This guarantees you have space to pull down whatever random color they demand. Send the final linked runs of beads to finish the level.
