Beads Out Level 389 Guide: The Dead Weight Dock Trap

Beads Out Level 389 is a masterclass in suffocating your board space. The immediate threat is obvious the second you look at the funnel. The bottom of the Conveyor is completely jammed with a massive block of yellow beads and red beads. You need somewhere to put them. The problem? You do not have a yellow or red box immediately available.

This board forces you to burn your lower Dock slots just to reach the colors you actually need. You are playing from behind immediately. The grid layout traps the necessary boxes in Row 3. You must intentionally clog your own Dock with colors that do not appear on the early Conveyor track. If you do not accept this dead-weight strategy early, you will run out of space, the track will back up, and the level will fail.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 389

Look closely at the 4x4 pit of Boxes. The board lies to you. It presents a solid blue box and a light green Half Box in the top left corner. Do not touch them. There are zero blue beads at the front of the Conveyor. Tapping that blue box is an instant death sentence for your Dock economy.

The dominant feature of Beads Out 389 is the triple threat of locks on the right side. You face three distinct sets of Crate Locks. The top right holds a dark green Half Box bolted to a solid silver box. The middle right holds a solid dark blue box clamped to a light pink box. The bottom right features a dark green Half Box locked to a light green Half Box. You have to break these sequentially, but you cannot even reach them until the center clears.

Pay attention to the far left column. A solid magenta box and a solid purple box sit stacked on a gray track with a yellow hazard border. You must ignore these entirely during the opening sequence.

Your true focus is the center columns. The solid orange box and the solid light blue box in Row 2 are entirely blocking the yellow Half Box and the solid red box in Row 3. Look at the Conveyor. The left track feeds a massive chain of red beads followed by dark blue. The right track feeds yellow beads followed by pink, then dark green. The feeder tracks up top are prepping purple and light green. You must prioritize the center.

Beads Out Level 389 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

You have four slots in your Dock. You will play the majority of this level with only two of them functioning. Execution order is everything.

The Row 3 Excavation in Beads Out Level 389

The opening sequence requires sacrificing Dock space to dig out your starting colors. You must clear the path to the red and yellow boxes without pulling any unnecessary locked pairs.

  1. Tap the solid orange box in Row 2. It drops into your Dock.
  2. Tap the solid light blue box right next to it. It also drops into your Dock.
  3. Understand the trap. There are no orange or light blue beads coming down the Conveyor anytime soon. These two boxes are now permanent dead weight. You effectively have a two-slot Dock for the next phase.
  4. Tap the newly exposed yellow Half Box in Row 3.
  5. Tap the solid red box right next to it.
  6. Your Dock is now completely full. Do not panic.
  7. Tap the block of yellow beads at the funnel. They will flood the yellow Half Box and clear it from the Dock.
  8. Tap the block of red beads. They fill the red box and clear it.
  9. You now have two empty slots again.

Breaking the Crate Locks in Beads Out Level 389

With red and yellow gone, the Conveyor pushes dark blue and pink beads directly into the funnel. You must pivot to the right side of the board and start dismantling the chains.

  1. Target the middle-right Crate Lock. Tap the solid dark blue box.
  2. Because of the lock, the light pink box gets dragged into the Dock with it. Your two empty slots are now perfectly filled.
  3. Tap the dark blue beads on the left track. They fill the box and it clears.
  4. Tap the pink beads on the right track. The light pink box fills and clears.
  5. The Conveyor now pushes dark green and light green beads forward.
  6. Look at the top row. Tap the free light green Half Box.
  7. Look at the top right corner. Tap the dark green Half Box to break the Crate Lock. This pulls the solid silver box down with it.
  8. Feed the dark green beads into the dark green box. Feed the light green beads into the light green box. Both clear.
  9. You are now left with orange, light blue, and silver boxes permanently stuck in your Dock. You have exactly one open slot remaining.

The One-Slot Survival Finish in Beads Out Level 389

The board is now open, but your margin for error is zero. You have a single open slot in your lower Dock.

  1. You must only tap a box from the pit if its exact matching bead color is physically sitting at the bottom funnel of the Conveyor.
  2. The left feeder track will start dropping more dark blue and purple beads. Tap the solid purple box from the gray hazard track on the left only when purple beads reach the bottom.
  3. Address the final Crate Lock in the bottom right corner. It holds a dark green Half Box and a light green Half Box. Only pull this pair when both green bead variants are grouped at the funnel.
  4. Once the board thins out and only four Boxes remain, the game triggers the Last Four speed-up.
  5. The remaining orange, light blue, and silver beads will finally spawn from the top feeders. Route them straight into the dead-weight boxes you pulled at the very beginning of the level to secure the win.
