Beads Out Level 42 Guide: The Massive Mystery Box Wall
Beads Out Level 42 hits you with a massive roadblock right from the start. You are staring at a giant grid of grey Mystery Boxes choking off the entire lower half of the screen. This is not a board where you can just tap fast and hope for the best. You have exactly three playable targets at the top of the grid: a Light Blue Box, a Brown Box, and a Green Box. Everything else is buried.
This board forces strict discipline. The Dock only holds four slots. The Conveyor layout is a complex beast, featuring a tight central loop fed by two long, vertical side channels. If you tap the wrong color from those outer feeds too early, your Dock fills with useless beads, and your run dies immediately. You have to break the lid off this puzzle before you can even touch the outer lanes.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 42
Look at the shape of the Conveyor. You have a central loop dominating the middle, with a left vertical arm and a right vertical arm feeding into it.
The central loop holds your starting keys. Dead center at the bottom of the loop, right above the exit gate, sits a block of brown beads. Flanking it on the right and on the far left of the loop are solid chunks of light blue beads. A block of bright green beads rests at the top left curve of the loop, followed by a stretch of light pink beads looping around the top right.
The outer vertical feeds are absolute traps in the early game.
- Left Feed: Holds a long chain of red beads, followed by green, then orange.
- Right Feed: Drops purple beads, followed by yellow, green, and grey at the bottom.
Do not touch these outer feeds yet. Your immediate targets sit directly under the exit gate. The Light Blue, Brown, and Green Boxes act as a lid trapping fourteen Mystery Boxes below them. Those Mystery Boxes dictate the pace of Beads Out 42. You cannot see your midgame targets until you clear that top row. The four-slot Dock placement directly under the exit gate means you have almost zero travel time for beads. When you tap, they dock instantly. You have no buffer to fix mistakes.
Beads Out Level 42 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
You must dig straight down. Ignore the outer edges. Control the central loop.
Cracking the Lid in Beads Out Level 42
The opening sequence is rigid. You have to clear the starting Boxes using only the beads in the central loop.
- Tap the Light Blue beads on the right side of the loop. They are practically touching the exit. Route them straight into the Light Blue Box.
- Pull the Brown beads next. They sit perfectly over the gate. Fill the Brown Box.
- Grab the remaining Light Blue beads from the left side of the loop. Finish off the Light Blue Box so it clears the board.
- Tap the Green beads sitting on the top left of the central loop. Send them into the Green Box.
- Watch the board shift. Clearing those first three Boxes cracks the lid. The top layer of Mystery Boxes flips, revealing your next targets.
Do not tap the red or purple beads from the high vertical feeds during this phase. If you pull a color you cannot immediately slot, you will paralyze your Dock.
Managing the Vertical Feeds in Beads Out Level 42
Breaking the first layer reveals a chaotic midgame. You will uncover a Purple Box, a Magenta Box, a Light Pink Box, and an Orange Box.
Now the vertical feeds become active threats. The beads from the left and right arms will start pushing down into the central loop, mixing the colors. You have to process them fast before they jam the exit gate.
- Target the Purple Box. Grab the purple beads descending from the right vertical feed.
- Clear the Light Pink beads. These have been sitting in the top right of the central loop since the start. Push them into the newly revealed Light Pink Box.
- Process the Orange and Magenta targets. The left vertical feed will drop orange beads into the loop. Route them into the Orange Box as soon as it flips.
- Keep the central loop moving. You will see chunks of blue, grey, and pink start circling as the outer arms empty into the middle. Prioritize whatever Box just revealed itself.
The jam risk moves to the bottom of the loop during this phase. If you let a large chunk of red or grey beads block the exit gate before you have a corresponding Box, you will stall out. Only tap colors that match the fully revealed Boxes in the middle rows.
Clearing the Bottom Corners in Beads Out Level 42
As you chew through the middle rows of the grid, you reach the bottom of the cavern. You will uncover a Green Box, a Yellow Box, a Red Box, and a Grey Box.
- Empty the remaining feeds. The left arm holds the last red beads. The right arm holds the grey and yellow beads.
- Route the Grey and Yellow. Pull them from the right side and clear their respective Boxes at the bottom right of the grid.
- Clear the Red. Pull the red beads from the left side.
- Hit the final Mystery Boxes. Two stubborn Mystery Boxes sit in the absolute bottom left and right corners of the grid. They will reveal your final required colors.
When you get down to these bottom corners, the Last Four speed-up triggers. The Conveyor accelerates. Because your remaining Boxes are buried deep at the bottom of the screen, the beads have to travel further from the exit gate to their target. Do not panic tap. Fill the active Boxes one by one. Keep your Dock clear of stray colors, finish off the final corner targets, and beat the level.
