Beads Out Level 289 Guide: The Sealed Cube and Horizontal Key Trap
Load into Beads Out 289. Look at the absolute mess at the bottom of the screen. You are staring down a massive iced Sealed Cube demanding 250 beads, a horizontal orange key locking down the center of the grid, and two black Mystery Boxes sitting right in the middle of your stack. This board is vicious. The dominant bead colors on the starting loop are Green, Yellow, White, and Purple. The side feeds hide tricky Black mystery beads and Dark Olive Green clusters.
The bottom Box layout is a strict, vertical nightmare. You have four open slots on your lower Dock. You must dig through four solid rows of basic Boxes before you can even touch the heavy blockers anchored at the bottom. This is not a speed run board. It is a strict sequencing puzzle. Make one wrong tap on a color you cannot clear. Watch your Conveyor jam instantly. You need absolute precision to clear the top layers without filling your Dock with dead colors.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 289
Look directly at the upper grid. The top row is sitting right in your face. Green on the far left. Pink next to it. Red in the middle right. White on the far right. Directly below that sits Tan, Yellow, Blue, and Brown. These are your early game targets. Ignore the bottom rows completely at the start. They are pure bait.
The middle of the board features two black Mystery Boxes marked with question marks. They flank a Light Grey Box and a Light Blue Box. These are traps. Do not force beads into these early. You will flood your Conveyor and fail.
Row four is the real headache. You have an orange Box marked with a "5". It is entirely blocked by a horizontal orange key. That key connects to a purple vertical blocker sitting on the right side. You cannot move that orange Box until the key physically slides out of the way.
At the very bottom left, a Light Blue Sealed Cube sits frozen in thick ice. Next to it is a White Box with a "4". Two Olive Green Boxes sit pushed far to the bottom right, completely trapped.
Track the Conveyor layout. It is a central O-ring with two U-shaped side feeds branching out. The center loop holds clumps of Green, Yellow, White, Peach, Purple, and Grey beads. The side feeds strictly hold Yellow, Black mystery beads, and Olive Green on the left. Light Blue, Black mystery beads, and Olive Green wait on the right. You must drain the center loop first. The sides will clog the main intersection if pulled too early. Your four-slot Dock dictates the pace. Leave one slot open at all times. Staging four incomplete Boxes is a guaranteed loss.
Beads Out Level 289 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Stripping the Top Rows in Beads Out Level 289
The opening taps dictate your survival. Strip the top two rows fast. Expose the middle blockers.
- Tap the Green beads at the bottom left of the central Conveyor loop. Send them straight into the top-left Green Box. Get it off the board immediately.
- Pull the White beads from the right side of the loop. Fill the top-right White Box.
- Hit the Yellow beads sitting at the bottom right of the center loop. Fill the Yellow Box located in the second row.
- Pull the Light Blue beads from the right side feed. Route them into the Blue Box in the second row. You need this specific clear to open breathing room on the right side of the board.
- Ignore the Pink, Red, Tan, and Brown Boxes temporarily. Your Dock has limited space. Staging these colors now just blocks your critical path. Wait until the corresponding bead clusters rotate to the front of the main loop.
Breaking the Key and Mystery Boxes in Beads Out Level 289
Once the top two rows thin out, the board changes completely. You now have direct access to the black Mystery Boxes and that horizontal key setup.
- Feed the Black mystery beads from the side feeds into the two Mystery Boxes in row three. Do this carefully. Tap slowly. If you pull too many from the side tracks, they stack up and jam the intersection.
- Clear the Grey beads from the left side of the loop into the Light Grey Box sitting between the mystery slots.
- Drop the board down. The purple vertical block holding the orange key is your main obstacle now. Shift the adjacent Boxes out of the way to trigger the key release. The key slides left. The orange "5" Box is finally playable.
- Drop the White "4" Box onto the Dock. Hit it with sequences of White beads to break it down.
- Leave the two Olive Green Boxes at the bottom right alone. The Olive Green beads are stuck at the very top of the side feeds. You cannot reach them. Do not clog your Dock trying to force a clear here.
Managing Half Boxes and the Ice Finish in Beads Out Level 289
As the lower board clears, Beads Out 289 shifts heavily. The layout fundamentally changes. You are hit with Half Boxes requiring 50% fill increments.
- Look at your Dock. You will face a Red Half Box in slot one. Slot two should be empty. A Green Half Box sits in slot three. A Yellow Half Box takes slot four. Keep slot two strictly empty for staging single-fill clears.
- The Conveyor loop repopulates. Dump the new Red bead clusters from the top right of the O-ring directly into the Red Half Box.
- Route the new Green and Yellow clusters into their respective Half Boxes. Clear them completely. Do not pull Pink or Purple beads yet.
- Address the remaining tower. You have a Pink and Red Box sitting on top of a Blue and Green Box. A White Box with a "3" sits next to a Yellow Box near the bottom.
- Clear the Pink beads into the Pink Boxes. Move the White beads into the White "3" Box to strip the remaining low-level blockers.
- You now have a clean shot at the Light Blue Sealed Cube at the bottom left. Start aggressively routing Light Blue beads into it. Chip away at the heavy 250 requirement. Keep the flow steady. Do not stop tapping until the ice shatters.
- Finish off the two Olive Green Boxes pushed to the right. The Olive Green beads are now freely flowing down the side feeds. Route them in. Clear the final four Boxes. The board speeds up. Level complete.
