Beads Out Level 228 Guide: The Crate Lock Barricade

Beads Out Level 228 is a masterclass in traffic management. You are facing a heavily congested central track, paralyzed side feeders, and a defensive wall of numbered boxes that will easily ruin your run. The primary threat here is the sheer volume of locked containers choking the middle of the board. You have a standard 4-slot Dock. That is barely enough room to handle the initial surge.

The bottom half of the puzzle is a fortress. Dark Sealed Cubes clog the lower left and right corners. They act as dead weight, completely restricting your tapping angles. Wedged between these useless rocks is a brutal barricade: a Blue Box holding a 3-lock, flanked by three Orange Boxes sporting 7, 5, and 7-locks. Beneath all of this mess sits a solitary Pink Box. You cannot reach it early. Do not even try.

This board forces you to play sequentially. Make one greedy pull to the Dock, and your game is over.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 228

Look directly at the Conveyor. You have a massive central oval holding the bulk of your starting beads. Two outer feeder lanes flank this oval. Both side lanes are completely jammed by black Mystery Boxes marked with question marks. Those side lanes are not moving anytime soon.

The central oval controls the pacing of Beads Out 228. Right at the bottom drop chute, a massive block of red beads is waiting to dump into the Dock. Following the red, the loop holds sections of grey, light pink, yellow, light blue, dark blue, and purple.

Now look at your available Boxes. The top row is your only safe zone. From left to right, you have Green, Grey, Green, Red, and Orange.

The trap here is blindingly obvious once you see it. The Conveyor is about to spit out red beads immediately. But your Red Box is buried in the top row, fourth column over. If you pull down the Green or Blue Boxes first, the red beads hit the end of the track, the Conveyor stops, and you fail. You must route the exact colors matching the bottom of that central oval.

You also have to respect the Crate Locks. The Blue 3, Orange 7, Orange 5, and Orange 7 form a wall over the lower center. You cannot access the bottom Pink Box until the Blue 3 is cleared. You cannot clear the Blue 3 until the dark blue beads rotate around the central loop. Timing is everything.

Beads Out Level 228 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Follow this exact pull order. Space in your Dock is your most valuable resource. Do not fill all four slots unless you know the active Conveyor color is dropping immediately.

Breaking the Initial Blockade in Beads Out Level 228

The opening moves dictate the rest of the match. You have to clear the bottom of the central loop before the side lanes even think about moving.

  1. Tap the Red Box located in the top row, second from the right. Drop it into the Dock.
  2. Let the cluster of red beads at the bottom of the Conveyor flood into the box. This clears the immediate jam and allows the track to shift.
  3. Look at the new bottom of the track. You will have purple beads pushing from the left side of the oval, and white/grey beads pushing from the right.
  4. Tap the Purple Box (far right, second row down) and send it to the Dock.
  5. Tap the Grey Box (top row, second from the left) and drop it in next to the purple one.
  6. Wait. Let the purple and grey beads process. Do not pull any other boxes down yet. You need empty Dock slots for the midgame transition.

Cracking the Crate Locks in Beads Out Level 228

Once the red, purple, and grey sections vanish, the central oval rotates yellow and light blue beads toward the chute. The outer feeder lanes will also start dropping their black Mystery Boxes into the main track. Now we dismantle the barricade.

  1. Bring down the Orange Box with the 5-lock. It sits dead center in the second row.
  2. Bring down a Blue Box from the left side of the second row.
  3. Watch the Conveyor. As the yellow beads hit the chute, they will feed into the Orange 5-lock.
  4. The side tracks are now injecting new colors into the mix. The left lane brings brown and blue. The right lane brings white and pink.
  5. Pull the Brown Box (second row, fourth column) into the Dock. The brown beads from the left feeder will clear it out.
  6. Now target the keystone. Tap the Blue Box with the 3-lock in the lower center. You should have blue beads rotating down from the top of the central oval to clear this specific lock.
  7. With the Blue 3 gone, the center of the board cracks wide open.

Clearing the Sealed Cubes and Trapped Pink in Beads Out Level 228

You are in the final stretch. The barricade is shattered. The side lanes are flowing freely.

  1. Pull down the remaining Orange Boxes (the 7-locks) one at a time. Feed them the orange/yellow beads still cycling on the track.
  2. Tap that isolated Pink Box at the very bottom of the board. It is finally free. The right feeder lane is entirely composed of pink beads and will fill it instantly.
  3. Process the remaining Green Boxes sitting in the top left corners. Green beads from the upper portion of the central oval will clear them.
  4. Ignore the dark Sealed Cubes at the bottom left and bottom right. They are completely useless. They do not need to be cleared to win the level.
  5. Keep the Dock rotating efficiently as the Last Four speed-up kicks in. Finish off the last few blue and white beads to complete the board.
