Beads Out Level 689 Guide: The Red Curtain Lock Trap

Beads Out Level 689 hits you with a massive roadblock right at the start. The board features a giant red curtain blocking the entire bottom-left corner of your Box grid. This curtain has a countdown of five. You have to clear adjacent boxes to tear it down. If you ignore it, the board jams.

The dominant colors swirling in the main Conveyor loop are orange, dark blue, pink, and purple. The top feeders are heavily stacked. The left side drops light green and red before hitting a black Mystery Box. The right side drops yellow, grey, and brown before hitting its own Mystery Box.

The lower Dock has four active slots waiting for beads. The first four active Boxes are purple, yellow, dark red, and dark green. This board is distinctly harder than earlier levels because of the space restriction. The top-left corner of the grid is completely cut out. You have less room to maneuver. You cannot just blindly tap beads. Order matters.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 689

Look at the initial layout. You have four empty Dock slots at the top. The first row of Boxes requires purple, yellow, dark red, and dark green.

The central Conveyor loop is an absolute mess of colors. You have a huge chunk of orange beads on the bottom left, followed by purple, a large block of dark blue, and then pink on the top right.

The feeders are your real problem. The left feeder has light green beads ready to drop. The right feeder has yellow beads. You need that yellow. The yellow Box is sitting right there in the second slot of the active row. The purple Box is in the first slot. You have purple beads already cycling through the bottom of the loop.

Below the active row, the grid gets complicated. You have light blue, pink, brown, bright red, and orange waiting in the second row. The third row holds light green, another pink, bright green, cyan, and olive.

Then you see the traps. Row four houses the massive red curtain on the left. It covers a huge chunk of the board. Sitting next to it is a beige box, then a weird orange timer crate, and a dark blue box. The curtain is your primary target. Every time you clear a Box touching it, the number drops. You need five clears.

Follow this exact tap sequence. Control the Conveyor loop and do not let the wrong colors flood the center.

Cracking the Red Curtain in Beads Out Level 689

You must open the board. The curtain hides three vital boxes underneath it.

1. Tap the purple beads currently sitting at the bottom of the central Conveyor loop. Send them straight into the purple Box in the top-left active slot.
2. Pull the yellow beads from the right feeder. Send them into the yellow Box in the second slot.
3. Watch the right feeder drop grey and brown beads into the loop. Ignore them for a second.
4. Hit the red beads to fill the dark red Box.
5. Fill the dark green Box on the far right of the active row.
6. Now you have access to the second row. Target the light blue and pink Boxes sitting directly above the red curtain. Clearing these drops the curtain's counter.
7. Send the light green beads from the left feeder into the light green Box in the third row. This hits the curtain again.

Managing the 50% Boxes in Beads Out Level 689

Once the curtain counter hits zero, it disappears. The bottom left opens up. You immediately expose a pink box, a purple box, and a bright green box.

At this exact moment, the game throws a curveball. Two Half Boxes drop into the active Dock slots. You will see a dark green 50% box and a blue 50% box. They only need half the normal amount of beads to clear, but they block your progress until you feed them.

8. Tap the dark green beads now feeding from the left tube. Fill the 50% dark green Half Box.
9. Grab the blue beads from the top of the Conveyor loop. Fill the 50% blue Half Box. Get them out of your way immediately.
10. Do not touch the orange timer crate yet. Work around it.
11. Shift your focus to the newly exposed bottom-left corner. Send pink beads into the pink Box that was hiding under the curtain.
12. Clear the purple Box sitting directly below that pink one.

Clearing the Mystery Feeders in Beads Out Level 689

The board is mostly empty now, but the top feeders still hold traps. Both the left and right tubes have a black Mystery Box blocking the final beads.

13. Drain the remaining grey beads from the left feeder. This forces the left Mystery Box down into the main loop.
14. Clear the brown and orange Boxes on the right side of the grid. This creates room in the Dock.
15. Pull the grey beads from the right feeder. The right Mystery Box drops into the loop.
16. The Mystery Boxes will reveal their required colors once they hit the Conveyor. Match them instantly with the remaining single-color Boxes at the bottom of your screen.
17. Feed the final dark blue beads into the last Box next to the orange crate to finish the level.
