Beads Out Level 178 Guide: The Curtain Lock and Giant Orange Crates
This board is an absolute grind. You face a nasty combination of heavy track congestion and completely blocked lower lanes. The figure-eight Conveyor is packed tight right from the start. The dominant bead colors clogging your immediate path are Light Blue, Purple, Orange, and Red.
Look at the lower play area. You only have access to three Boxes right away: Purple, Red, and Light Blue. Everything else is buried. The real nightmare on this board is the right side. You have two stacked Orange Numbered Crates, each demanding 12 beads to clear. Beneath them is a red Curtain Lock requiring three actions to drop. This is not a fast level. You have to chip away at massive bead counts before the board even slightly opens up.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 178
Every column on this board is a trap designed to fill your Dock with useless colors. You must understand the exact layout before you tap a single bead.
The top row of available Boxes gives you a Purple, a Red, and a Light Blue. Pulling anything else first is a massive mistake.
Look at the deep left lane. Behind the Purple box, you have a solid stack: Pink, Dark Green, Dark Blue, and finally a smaller Orange Numbered Crate demanding 7 beads at the bottom. You cannot reach that Orange crate for a long time.
Look at the middle lane. Behind the Light Blue box sits Brown, Light Green, White, and Grey. It is a long, slow dig to the bottom.
The right side is pure blockade. The stacked '12' Orange Numbered Crates block all lateral movement. The bottom right corner is entirely hidden by the Curtain Lock marked with a '3'. You cannot see or touch the Yellow and Red Boxes waiting behind it.
Pay attention to the figure-eight Conveyor. The bottom loop is entirely choked with Light Blue and Purple beads. The middle left holds a massive chunk of Brown and Orange. The middle right holds Red and Pink. The upper loops hold Grey, Green, Yellow, and White. The top colors are strictly off-limits early on. If you pull a Green or Grey Box into your Dock during the first two minutes, you will jam the board. You cannot reach those beads.
Beads Out Level 178 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow strict Box priority to survive this board. You have to systematically dismantle the top row to clear the chokepoint on the lower Conveyor.
Clearing the Figure-Eight Chokepoint in Beads Out Level 178
Your opening moves dictate whether you pass or fail. The bottom of the figure-eight is entirely Light Blue and Purple. You must clear this traffic jam instantly.
- Tap the Purple Box and the Light Blue Box. Drop them into your Dock.
- Fire the huge clusters of Purple and Light Blue beads currently sitting at the bottom of the Conveyor. Send them straight in.
- Tap the Red Box to move it into your open Dock space.
- The right side of the Conveyor has a long line of Red beads. Tap them to fill the Red Box.
- Do not touch the Orange beads yet. They are pure bait. Let them loop around the track. You do not have an active Orange box, and pulling one now will kill your run.
Cracking the Numbered Crates in Beads Out Level 178
With the top three Boxes gone, the board finally drops down. You now have access to the Pink Box on the left and the Brown Box in the middle. The massive '12' Orange Numbered Crates are also exposed.
- Move the Pink and Brown Boxes into your Dock.
- Clear the Pink beads from the right side of the track. Clear the Brown beads from the left side of the track. This creates massive breathing room on the Conveyor.
- You now have access to the Dark Green and Light Green Boxes. Drop them into the Dock when you have space. Feed them the Green beads slowly dropping down from the top left loop.
- Start feeding the beast. You have those two '12' Orange Numbered Crates on the right. You need to pump 24 Orange beads into that right column. Every time Orange beads cycle down to the bottom of the figure-eight, tap them. Keep hitting those crates until they crack open.
- Continue digging down the left lane. Clear the Dark Blue Box to expose the '7' Orange Numbered Crate at the bottom left.
Beating the Curtain Lock in Beads Out Level 178
This is where the board breaks wide open. You have spent the whole midgame feeding Orange beads into the heavy crates.
- Finish off the '7' Orange Numbered Crate on the bottom left and the final remnants of the '12' crates on the right.
- Clearing these heavy obstacles triggers the '3' requirement on the red Curtain Lock. The curtain drops.
- The bottom right corner is now exposed. It holds a cluster of Red, Yellow, and Dark Red/Brown Boxes.
- The middle column is finally down to White and Grey. Move the White and Grey Boxes into your Dock.
- Pull down the Yellow and Red Boxes from the newly opened bottom right corner.
- Look at the top loops of the Conveyor. You still have Yellow, White, Grey, and Green beads trapped up there. Start firing them into your final boxes.
- Once you reach the final four Boxes, the track accelerates. Stay focused on the White and Yellow beads. Fire them in tight bursts to avoid overflowing the Conveyor at the higher speed. Clear the last Grey box to finish the board.
