Beads Out Level 266 Guide: The Red Key and Locked Green Box Trap
Beads Out Level 266 is a brutal test of order of operations. You start with four empty slots in your upper Dock. You look at the Conveyor and immediately see a massive problem. A massive wall of red beads completely blocks the right side of the hourglass-shaped track. You need to clear red.
Look at the Boxes waiting below. The top row gives you a Purple Box, a Cyan Box, a bright Green Box wrapped in a red Crate Lock, and a Light Green Box. There is no Red Box available to catch that massive red bead jam.
The Red Box you desperately need is trapped on the second row. The key to open that red Crate Lock is buried even deeper. It sits inside a Dark Green Box on the third row. If you blindly tap the top row Boxes into your Dock, you will trap yourself. You will fill your playable slots with colors you cannot feed. You will jam the board and fail the level. This guide breaks down exactly how to pull the right boxes in the exact right order.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 266
The board layout is devious. The Conveyor pinches in the middle like an hourglass, forcing all beads into a single bottom chute.
The left side of the Conveyor holds a long train of orange beads, followed by yellow, white, and dark green. The right side is choked tight. A huge chunk of red beads clogs the exit. Behind the red, you have light blue, green, and more white beads. Top loops hold purple and more red.
Your Dock has exactly four spaces. Below it sits a 4x4 grid of Boxes. You must read this grid carefully before tapping anything.
Row 1 holds your immediate options: Purple, Cyan, Green (with the red Crate Lock), and Light Green. Row 2 holds the crucial Red Box, two Purple Boxes, and a massive 200-count Blue Sealed Cube. Row 3 hides the prize. It features a Cream Half Box, an Orange Mystery Box requiring 5 hits, the Dark Green Box holding your red key, and a Blue Half Box. Row 4 is a solid wall of Orange Mystery Boxes, each requiring 8 hits to clear.
The trap here is the locked bright Green Box on the top row. Do not touch it. If you move it to the Dock, it eats a space. You cannot feed it until you dig down to the third row and clear the Dark Green Box to get the key. Your entire early game must focus on exposing the Red Box on row 2, and then tunneling down to row 3.
Beads Out Level 266 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Control your Dock. You only have four slots. Every tap must serve the goal of unburying the red key.
Breaking the Top Layer in Beads Out Level 266
Your opening moves dictate the rest of the level. You must bypass the locked box and clear the red jam.
- Tap the Purple Box on the top left. Send it to the Dock.
- Tap the Cyan Box next to it. Send it to the Dock.
- Ignore the Green Box with the red Crate Lock. Leave it exactly where it is.
- Tap the Light Green Box on the far right of the top row. Send it to the Dock.
- You now have three Boxes in the Dock. One slot remains open. Look at row 2. You just exposed the Red Box. Tap it.
- Your Dock is now full: Purple, Cyan, Light Green, Red.
- Feed the Red Box immediately. Let that massive chunk of red beads on the bottom right flow into it. The right side of the Conveyor is now moving.
- Feed the Purple Box. Purple beads from the top loops will drop down.
- Feed the Light Green and Cyan Boxes as the beads become available.
Unburying the Key in Beads Out Level 266
With row 1 largely cleared and the red jam gone, you need to execute the tunnel strategy to reach the key.
- You exposed two more Purple Boxes on row 2. Move them to the Dock. Feed them to clear them out.
- The 200-count Blue Sealed Cube is also on row 2. You can move it up, but it will sit in your Dock for a long time. It acts as a sponge for any stray blue beads.
- Moving the row 2 boxes exposes row 3. You finally have access to the Dark Green Box holding the red key. Tap it into the Dock.
- Feed the Dark Green Box. Dark green beads from the left side of the Conveyor will fill it.
- The box clears. The red key flies up and breaks the red Crate Lock on the bright Green Box left behind on row 1.
- Immediately move that bright Green Box into your Dock and feed it. The trap is officially dismantled.
Managing the 50% Box Drop in Beads Out Level 266
Once you chew through the initial stack and clear the Half Boxes on row 3, Beads Out Level 266 shifts gears drastically. The board drops a totally new formation.
A row of four 50% Half Boxes appears. These are Cyan, Red, Green, and Orange. Below them drops a single column holding a new blue Crate Lock on a Green Box.
This phase is fast. The 50% Half Boxes take only half the normal beads to fill.
- Move the Cyan, Red, Green, and Orange 50% Half Boxes into the Dock.
- Look at your Conveyor. You likely have a mix of orange, green, light blue, yellow, brown, and red beads cycling through.
- Rapid-fire feed the 50% Half Boxes. They clear very quickly.
- Keep pulling up the boxes behind them. You will hit a Purple Box, another dark Green Box with a key, and a Blue Half Box.
- Do not let the Conveyor stall. If you have no box for a color blocking the chute, find a way to clear it fast.
- Tunnel down to that second key to open the blue Crate Lock.
The bottom rows will eventually reveal Brown, Yellow, and Cream Boxes. Keep your Dock disciplined. Only pull up a box if you see its matching color approaching the bottom chute. Clear the final few boxes to trigger the speed-up and beat the level.
