Beads Out Level 842 Guide: The Red Key and Sealed Cube Trap
This board is stubborn. You are dealing with a heavy mix of greens, blues, pinks, and greys clogging an S-shaped track. The bottom Box placement is what makes this board an absolute headache. You have two numbered Sealed Cubes stacked on the left side, a red Crate Lock dead in the center, and a linked pair pinned to the bottom right.
This is not a board where you can just tap fast and hope for the best. The dependency chain is strict. You need the red key to break the lock. That key is attached to a Bright Green Box sitting at the very bottom left corner of your Dock. You cannot touch it until you clear the garbage blocking it. Make one wrong move with your active slots early, and the S-curve jams. Game over.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 842
Look at the S-curve. The beads are heavily segmented into thick blocks of single colors. The bottom exit is completely choked by olive green, dark green, yellow, and grey beads. Above that, you have cyan, dark blue, purple, light blue, pink, and red. The top branches split into two horns. The left horn holds pink, black, and a Mystery Box. The right holds orange, black, and another Mystery Box.
Now look down at your Dock. Your starting active slots give you a Red Box at 0%, a Light Pink Box at 50%, a Bright Green Box at 50%, and exactly one empty slot.
Do not let these starting boxes fool you. They are traps. The Light Pink and Bright Green look safe because they are half full, but the beads you need to finish them are buried way up the Conveyor. If you fill your only empty slot with a useless color, you wipe out.
The left side of your Dock holds a Pink '7' Sealed Cube and a Grey '3' Sealed Cube. These are massive roadblocks. The middle column has that Bright Green Box chained down by the red Crate Lock. Below it are Dark Blue and Light Blue boxes. At the bottom left sits your savior: the Bright Green Box with the red key. Over on the bottom right, a Purple and Bright Yellow Box are shackled together by a metal U-lock.
Beads Out Level 842 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow this exact order. The S-curve gives you zero breathing room. You have to force the board open by manipulating the Dock.
Clearing the Initial S-Curve in Beads Out Level 842
Your first taps must clear the exit of the Conveyor. You cannot reach the key until you make space.
- Push the empty White Box from the top right of the Dock into your empty active slot.
- You do not have white beads at the bottom of the track. You need to pull up the Grey Box from the second row to catch those lower grey beads.
- Bring up the Light Blue Box from the top row of the Dock. Use it to catch the cyan and light blue beads sitting just above the grey section.
- Drop the Grey '3' Sealed Cube into the active zone. Hit it with the grey beads immediately. It requires three hits to crack. Break it early so it stops taking up vital real estate on the left side.
- Ignore the pinks and oranges at the top of the board entirely. This is bait. Tapping them now will flood the track and end your run.
Breaking the Crate Lock in Beads Out Level 842
Once you clear the olive greens, yellows, and greys, the middle of the Conveyor drops down. The board opens up. Now we hunt the lock.
- Pull the Bright Green Box with the red key from the bottom left corner into an active slot.
- Feed it the bright green beads now sliding down from the middle of the S-curve.
- The second this Box fills, the red key flies up and shatters the Crate Lock in the middle of your Dock.
- Play that newly freed Bright Green Box immediately. Get it out of your way.
- Shift your focus back to the left. Pull the Pink '7' Sealed Cube into play. Feed it the massive chunk of pink beads dropping from the left horn of the track. Seven hits crack it. Do not let it sit there.
Untangling the Linked Pair in Beads Out Level 842
By the late game, your active slots will look entirely different. You will be juggling Red, Dark Blue, Dark Green, and Dark Red. The track speeds up.
- Address the right side of the Dock. Clear the Peach, Dark Red, and Orange boxes sequentially as those colors reach the bottom of the S-curve.
- You are now left with the linked Purple and Bright Yellow Boxes at the bottom right. Bring them up together.
- Feed the yellow beads from the top right track into the Bright Yellow Box. Feed the purple beads into the Purple Box.
- Finally, process the black beads dropping from the left and right horns. Wait for the Mystery Box spheres to roll down and reveal their colors. Keep at least two active slots open to catch whatever random colors the game throws at you to finish the level.
