Beads Out Level 196 Guide: The Crate Lock and Key Trap
Beads Out Level 196 is a brutal test of spatial management. You start staring down a massive pile of containers blocked by a narrow active Dock. The dominant colors on the Conveyor are Blue, Yellow, Light Blue, Pink, and Red. The real threat sits right at the front. The top row of the puzzle pile is a solid wall of five Half Boxes: Dark Green, Dark Red, Orange, Light Pink, and Bright Green.
This board is significantly harder than previous stages because of the strict Dock limitation. You only have four active slots available. Five Half Boxes sit immediately in your way. Do the math. If you tap the front row left-to-right, you jam the board instantly. Your run dies before it even starts. Below that front line, the board gets worse. You have a rigid Crate Lock chaining two Dark Red boxes together, a golden rod blocking the lowest section, and a literal Key and Lock setup buried at the bottom. You have to route beads with absolute precision.
Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 196
Look at the Conveyor. It forms a massive hourglass shape. The bottom path leading to the exit pipe is packed with Light Blue, Blue, Yellow, and Grey beads. The top loops hold tight clusters of Pink, White, Green, and Red beads. The outer tracks hold black beads marked with question marks. These are Mystery Boxes. They hide their true colors until they drop into the main flow.
The immediate danger lies in the active Dock. With only four slots, you have zero room for dead weight. The Light Pink Half Box and the Bright Green Half Box look safe to open early. They are traps. The Conveyor does not have enough immediate Green or Pink beads at the bottom of the hourglass to fill them quickly.
The early clear that changes the entire route requires bypassing the obvious front line. You need to pull the solid Blue, Magenta, and Bright Green boxes into the Dock to create breathing room. The lower placement of the puzzle pile forces a very specific order. You cannot touch the left side of the board until the center clears.
Special mechanics define this stage. The Crate Lock in the middle row prevents the Dark Red boxes from moving independently. You must fill them simultaneously. At the very bottom, the dark blue box holds a yellow key. The tan box beside it has a keyhole. You cannot clear the bottom row until that key is activated.
Beads Out Level 196 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow this exact dependency chain to break the board. Control the Conveyor pace and never let the black mystery beads clog the intersection.
Beating the Half Box Trap in Beads Out Level 196
Your opening taps dictate the entire match. The active Dock is too small to handle mistakes. You must clear the right colors to expose the solid boxes behind the front line.
- Tap the Bright Green Half Box on the far right.
- Tap the Magenta box hidden just behind the front line. Bring it into the Dock.
- Bring down the solid Blue box. The bottom of the hourglass Conveyor is packed with Blue and Light Blue beads. Send the Blue beads into the box immediately.
- Ignore the Dark Green and Orange Half Boxes on the front left. They are absolute bait. Touching them now will trap dead containers in your Dock.
- Clear the short string of Yellow beads sitting near the exit pipe to keep the Conveyor moving. Route them into any available Yellow container.
- Pull the Light Pink Half Box. The top left loop of the Conveyor holds a massive chain of Pink beads. Flush them into the Light Pink containers to clear the left side of the upper pile.
Smashing the Crate Lock in Beads Out Level 196
Once the initial front line breaks, the board opens up. Your priority shifts to the middle rows. The active Dock is slightly safer now, but the center of the board is completely stalled.
- Target the Crate Lock. This metal bracket chains the two Dark Red boxes together in the third row. Bring both Dark Red boxes into the Dock.
- Look at the top right loop of the hourglass. A thick cluster of Red beads sits waiting. Route them straight into the Dark Red boxes. This shatters the Crate Lock and removes a massive blocker.
- Watch the outer tracks. As the inner hourglass empties, the black Mystery Boxes drop into the main feed. Do not let them sit at the central intersection. Feed them immediately. Their colors will adapt to whatever active Boxes you have open.
- Clear the remaining Dark Green and Orange Half Boxes from the starting pile. Yellow and Grey beads dominate the remaining visible sections of the lower hourglass. Route them fast to strip away the middle layers.
The Final Key Sequence in Beads Out Level 196
The golden rod drops out of the way once the upper and middle sections vanish. The bottom arrangement is now fully exposed.
- Bring the dark blue box with the yellow Key into the Dock.
- Pull the tan box with the keyhole lock into the Dock right next to it.
- Fill the dark blue box using the remaining Blue beads on the left side of the Conveyor. Once filled, the key physically turns and opens the tan box lock.
- Clear the numbered white Sealed Cubes at the corners (labeled "2" and "3"). The outer tracks will dump their final black mystery beads right as these blocks become active.
- Send the final string of beads down the central pipe. The Last Four speed-up kicks in. Keep your taps fast and precise to clear the remaining containers and finish the stage.
