Beads Out Level 401 Guide: The Triple Crate Lock and Vertical Belt Board

This board will instantly jam if you tap the wrong side of the track. Beads Out Level 401 centers around an hourglass-shaped Conveyor that feeds directly into a highly restricted bottom zone. You have a massive cluster of Dark Green beads clogging the central exit. Behind them, the left lane is stacked with Purple, Light Green, and Cyan beads. The right lane holds Brown, White, and Red beads.

The bottom area is split into two distinct mechanical zones. The left side is a minefield of stationary Boxes clamped together by three Crate Locks. You have a Red box locked to a Grey one, a White box locked to a Brown one, and a Yellow box locked to a White one. You cannot clear the inner boxes until the outer locking boxes are filled.

The right side features a vertical shifting belt holding four Boxes: Light Green, Dark Purple, Dark Green, and Red. This is the real puzzle. As you fill and clear Boxes on this vertical belt, the remaining ones shift upward. Managing the static locks on the left while feeding the moving belt on the right requires exact order operations. The four-slot Dock at the top starts with a single Dark Blue box, giving you only three open slots to catch mistakes. Do not waste them.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 401

Look exactly at how the bottom grid is laid out. You have open Boxes sitting above the locked ones. The top row gives you immediate access to Light Green, Dark Blue, Light Pink, and Dark Purple Boxes. Below that, the Crate Lock pairs dictate your midgame.

The Conveyor traffic is entirely dictated by the Dark Green cluster sitting at the bottom center. Until those Dark Green beads move, nothing else can drop. This makes the right side of the Conveyor incredibly dangerous. The Brown beads sitting behind the Dark Green plug are your next immediate priority. If you start pulling random Boxes into the top Dock hoping to clear the left side early, you will run out of buffer space and fail.

The vertical belt on the far right is your pressure valve. It holds the exact Dark Green box you need to clear the opening jam. It also holds the Red box you will need later for the right-side bead track.

Notice the specific trap on the left. You have a White box locked to a Brown box. The right side of the Conveyor feeds Brown beads first, then White beads. This is a deliberate sequence puzzle. You must feed the Brown beads into the locked Brown box first, which partially satisfies that Crate Lock pair. Only then can you feed the White beads coming down the track.

Follow this exact tap order. Do not pull unnecessary Boxes into the Dock.

Busting the Center Jam in Beads Out Level 401

You have to clear the mouth of the Conveyor before doing anything else. The Dark Green cluster is blocking both lanes.

1. Tap the Dark Green beads at the bottom center. Send them directly into the Dark Green box sitting third down on the right-side vertical belt. This clears the choke point.
2. Immediately look at the right lane. Brown beads are now at the exit. Tap them and send them into the Brown box locked into the Crate Lock on the lower left.
3. Look at the left lane. Purple beads are now ready to drop. Route them into the Dark Purple box on the top right, or the one sitting second down on the vertical belt.
4. The left lane will drop Light Green beads next. Tap them. Send them to the open Light Green box sitting on the top left.

By executing these four steps, you open up the core of the board. You have stripped the initial layers off both sides of the hourglass Conveyor.

Breaking the Crate Locks in Beads Out Level 401

With the front of the track clear, the middle colors drop down. This phase is entirely about dismantling the Crate Locks on the left side of the board.

1. White beads are now at the bottom of the right lane. You have two locked White Boxes on the left side. Tap the White beads and fill both. Filling these breaks the Crate Locks attached to the Brown and Yellow Boxes.
2. Red beads drop down the right lane next. Send them to the Red box clamped by the top Crate Lock on the left, and also hit the Red box sitting at the bottom of the vertical belt on the right.
3. Breaking the Red Crate Lock frees up the Grey box next to it. Leave the Grey box alone for now. You do not have Grey beads near the exit yet.
4. Shift your focus to the left lane. Cyan (Light Blue) beads are at the exit. Route them into the open Light Blue box sitting in the middle of the left-side grid.
5. Dark Green beads will slide down the left lane. Clear them into any remaining Dark Green Boxes on the board.

At this point, the left-side Crate Locks are completely destroyed. The board opens up. The vertical belt on the right will have shifted its lower Boxes upward, making them easier to target.

Clearing the Tail Ends in Beads Out Level 401

You are now in the final stretch. The top halves of the hourglass Conveyor contain Khaki/Olive beads, Yellow beads, and Pink beads.

1. Clear the Pink beads dropping from the left lane into the Light Pink box sitting in the top row.
2. Route the Khaki/Olive beads dropping from the right lane into the newly freed Boxes on the left grid.
3. Clear the Yellow beads from the top right of the track into the Yellow box that was previously trapped by a Crate Lock at the bottom left.
4. If any isolated colors remain trapped at the very top of the track, use your remaining Dock slots to cycle the correct Boxes up. Keep the lower board clear.

Once the board drops to the final four Boxes, the speed increases. Do not panic tap. Simply match the final Pink and Grey strings to their respective targets to finish the board. Keep your eyes on the moving right-side belt and never let the Conveyor stall.
