Beads Out Level 18 Guide: The Side-Pocket Trap

Beads Out Level 18 is a brutal lesson in sequence control and buffer management. Look straight at the lower Dock. This is not a level where you can just tap matching colors and win. You are dealing with a strict vertical lock system, hidden blockers, and a massive piece of visual bait.

This is heavily a sequence level. The board forces you to process specific colors while completely ignoring the largest bead clusters on the track. The bottom layout features a tight central column that acts as a traffic jam, trapping heavily needed colors in a weird side pocket. If you panic tap here, your Conveyor fills up and you lose immediately. You have to play this board in exact order.

Reading the Board in Beads Out Level 18

The Conveyor loops in a distinct heart shape. It is completely packed. The bead distribution here is highly segmented.

At the top left curve, you have a solid block of yellow beads. The top right curve holds orange beads. As the track descends on the left, you see grey, then light blue, leading into a massive, unavoidable cluster of red beads dominating the entire bottom V-shape. The right side holds dark blue, pink, green, more dark blue, red, and green again.

Your active sorting area gives you exactly four empty slots. This is your entire working buffer.

Directly below that is the Dock. It is shaped like a narrow vertical shaft with a strange, recessed pocket off to the right side. The placement of the Boxes here dictates your entire run.

Here is exactly what you are facing in the main shaft:

  • Top Row: A Light Blue Box on the left, a Yellow Box on the right. These are your only immediate plays.
  • Second Row: A Pink Box and a Grey Box.
  • Third Row: Another Yellow Box and a Purple Box.
  • The Bottom Rows: Total chaos. You have an Orange Box and a Light Blue Box tangled up with three dark, stone-textured Mystery Boxes. These block everything beneath them.

Now look at the right-side pocket. It holds a Red Box sitting on top of a Green Box. They are totally isolated. They cannot slide left into the main vertical shaft to move up to the active slots until you clear out the traffic jam in the center.

The Real Trap in Beads Out Level 18

The red bead cluster at the bottom of the heart is the real trap. It ruins runs.

Players see that gigantic string of red beads moving through the bottom of the Conveyor. It takes up massive space. The instinct is to tap it immediately to clear room. But look at your Dock. The Red Box is stuck in that isolated right-hand pocket. It is physically impossible to pull the Red Box into your active slots at the start of the level.

If you tap those red beads, they will shoot toward the active slots, find no matching target, and bounce right back onto the Conveyor. You will waste space. You will break your bead chains. You will jam the board.

You have to stare at the biggest, most obvious color on the board and completely ignore it until the mid-game. This board demands extreme patience.

Beads Out Level 18 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Follow this sequence strictly. Do not pull a Box into the active slots unless you can feed it immediately. Keep your active slots lean.

First Moves That Set the Route

  1. Pull the top Light Blue Box and the Yellow Box into your active slots.
  2. Tap the yellow bead cluster on the top left of the Conveyor.
  3. Tap the light blue beads on the mid-left straightaway.
  4. Keep your hands off the red and green beads entirely. Let them cycle.
  5. As soon as the Light Blue and Yellow boxes fill, they will leave the board. This opens the second row.

Mid-Level Board Control

  1. The main shaft shifts up. Pull the Pink Box and the Grey Box into your active slots.
  2. Pink beads will cycle down the right side. Grey beads are on the mid-left. Tap them in tight, controlled bursts.
  3. Fill these two. The main shaft moves again. Now pull up the second Yellow Box and the Purple Box.
  4. At this point, the main central column is finally clearing out. The right-side pocket is no longer blocked. The Red Box will slide left into the main track and become available.
  5. Pull the Red Box up immediately.
  6. Now you strike. Hammer that massive red bead cluster at the bottom of the heart. Clearing this massive chunk of the Conveyor instantly changes the whole economy of the level. Your board will suddenly feel empty and manageable.
  7. Pull up the Orange Box and hit the top right orange bead cluster.
  8. The stone Mystery Boxes will now advance. Pull them up one by one. Do not pull multiple Mystery Boxes at the same time. Let one reveal its color, fill it, and then pull the next.

Closing the Last Boxes Fast

Once you clear the Mystery Boxes, you are in the final sprint. The Green Box that was trapped at the very bottom of the side pocket is now free.

When you hit the last four Boxes, the built-in speed-up triggers. The Conveyor moves significantly faster. On this specific board, the speed-up is actually a massive advantage. You have already cleared the complicated sequence locks. You have plenty of dark blue and green beads left cycling rapidly.

Do not hesitate here. The trap is gone. Spam the remaining colors into their matching targets. Keep the flow aggressive and finish the board.

If This Level Still Fails

You likely tapped red too early, or you pulled two Mystery Boxes at once and they revealed colors you couldn't reach, choking your active slots. Sequence is everything here. If you accidentally brick your four active slots with unplayable colors, burn a Move Box booster to kick a dead color back down into the Dock. This frees up a slot so you can pull up a playable color and unjam the machine.
